B Band to perform at St Matthews Northowram
Our B Band will be performing at St Matthews Church Northowram with the Northowram Singers on Saturday 29th June at 7.30pm The concert has a free entry with a retiring collection at the end for Overgate Hospice and the Church.
Spring Serenade a success
Our recent Spring Serenade at St Martins Church Brighouse on the afternoon of 27th April was a huge success. The concert was very well attended and both bands provided popular music thoughout the afternoon. We had a retiring collection after the concert to support both the band fund and Overgate Hospice and we are delighted that this raised £500 of which £250 has been forwarded to Overgate. Thank you to everyone who supported the concert and to the band for providing the wonderful music.

Band qualifies for National Finals
The Senior band has once again qualified for the National Brass Band Finals which will be held at Cheltenham Racecourse on 14th and 15th September. At the regional qualifying round on Saturday in our section the two top prize winner are invited to the finals. We competed against 9 other Yorkshire bands. We were awarded 2nd prize which meant we had gained the coverted prize of qualifying. With the band being consistant over the last three years at the contest with a third placing in 2022, a second placing in 2023 and now another second placing in 2024 we will be promoted to the second section in 2025.
Congratulations to Barnsley Metropolitan Band for their 1st place and also qualifying to go.
So a great weekend for the band.

The cost of running a brass band as any local organisation can be very expensive. The band relies on the generous donations from our Patrons and supporters throughout the year.
For £20 (or more) per year you receive our newsletters and two tickets to our annual concert which is usually held in September.

125 Club
Our 125 Club is a valuable way for the band to raise funds on a regular basis, numbers are 25p each and one is drawn weekly giving a £5.00 prize to the lucky winner. Additional prizes of £50.00 are drawn at Christmas, Easter and August.
